There were still a few animals to see, like the manta rays.
smiling for the camera
They also have an Elmo world for kids, with rides and a huge play area where they can all run off energy.
There were Polar Bears to see and Blue Whales. They were so pretty. They also had a ride before you walked through the exhibit. It was like you were on a helicopter riding around the Artic. It moved and shook and made Bella cheer. It was great.
Bella loved being able to touch the star fish.
The sun came out that afternoon and we were ready to go do something else. Originally we wanted to head for the beach but by the time we got back to the hotel to grab everything we decided the pool was a better/more realistic option.
The first thing we did in San Diego was find a Target. I of course always pick a hotel close by one and this is proof of that I was brilliant to do so. When we got to San Diego we couldn't find our camera. How were we going to capture all of Bella's joyful faces in viewing this wonderful place for the first time? Answer- Target. We went a got a pack of 2 disposable cameras and thought Bella might think it was fun to be able to take her own pictures. We also had our cell phones so we would be able to use those. We were ready for Sea World the next morning.
We got there close to when it opened and Bella was instantly obsessed with the "snuggles". All of the stuffed animals that they sell in the kiosks everywhere. She was more excited to see all of those than some of the animals that we saw. The first day we spent going to the shows and all of the animal exhibits.
the girls all ready to see everything! (sorry mom for the windblown hair look.) The dolphin show is first up.
Then the penguins
Seals
"Mom can I PLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE get my snuggle now? I made it past lunch without one.. . ." The chosen snuggle, and finally happy. The seal show was so funny. The host will be the perfect job for cousin Ammon.
Shamu- always amazing.
We left just before the park was going to close. It was a great day and we were all exhausted from all of the walking and ready to go hang out at the hotel.
I have been wanting to go on vaction for like forever. I thought about Disney a lot but Bella hasn't been to a lot of "park" style and I heard about some of the lines at Disney and thought we should try something else first. Our spring break vacation this year is to San Diego, the big part being at Sea World. We haven't done a big road trip since Bella was a baby and I dragged (willingly) my mom with us too so we broke the trip up with a night in Vegas. I am not a fan of Vegas and therfore do not take pictures of it- anymore. The next day we were off to San Diego. After getting stuck in slow/ heavy traffic on I-15 we stopped in Barstow at the outlet Mall to stretch our legs, have a picinic and I even got 5 minutes in the shoe store. Now on to warmer (cross our fingers) weather.
Cory and I met in 2001 and married in 2003. Isabella was born in 2006 and has changed our lives forever. We have 2 dogs and live happily in Sandy Utah. I love my gang.
